The Galilee Mission

Providing Recovery and Hope Since 1984

The Galilee Mission, Inc. - founded in 1984, is a non-profit organization serving Washington County and surrounding areas. We are an umbrella for several programs addressing the issues of substance overuse.  We also provide mental health counseling, which at times can exacerbate substance use issues.

Galilee Mission has been providing recovery and hope to adults who have a problematic dependence on drugs and/or alcohol and are in need of residential treatment, outpatient, intensive outpatient, peer recovery, transitional or sober living. or other social services.

Our focus is to get you back on track, employed, communicating with your loved ones and get you active in the community, forming a positive support system, while living a substance free lifestyle.

Daily, we provide individual and group counseling, teach the life and coping skills needed to achieve recovery. Our programs are licensed by the State of RI Department of Behavioral Health (BHDDH) and the RI Department of Health.

Our Mission

It is our goal to positively empower our clients to become productive members within their own community. To foster this, we will offer many areas of guidance, direction and counseling.

We promise to treat each individual with dignity, respect and kindness – as we would want to be treated. We will do our best to help each and every client transition to a successful lifestyle free from alcohol and other substances.
